Finlayson x Mumin pop-up shop stands for the equality
Independent Finland is 100 years old and many things in the Nordic countries are better than anywhere else. Better, however, does not mean that everything is okay. The woman’s euro is 0,83 when comparing the average wages of women and men in Finland. As a result, Finlayson x Mumin shop will be aligned at the Finland 100 event in Stockholm’s Kungsträdgården and women pay only 0,83 for every euro and men pay the whole sum.
In other words, at the Kungsträdgården’s event, women will receive -17% discount on all products. This time men are paying the full price, but 17% of men’s purchases are donated to work for equality in Sweden.
Besides the shop and cinema you’ll find a lot Moomin related happenings at Kungsträdgården
Loveable things to do whether you are child or adult
Hur gick det sen? is a Moomin exhibition based on Tove Jansson’s Moomin book The Book about Moomin, Mymble and Little My, originally in Swedish Hur gick det sen? in 1952.
The exhibition has toured in Sweden for a long time now and this week it will be presented at Kungsträdgården. The exhibition is open daily 12 noon – 8 pm. In this interactive exhibition, you not only read the book but also experience it by all the senses. The exhibition takes visitors, both children and adults, physically in a fairy tale where you can climb through from the first page to the end.
On Saturday at 12 noon, the beloved singer Benny Törnroos together with Moomintroll will take the stage to entertain the children.
The pop-up shop of the world’s only Moomin Museum
The world’s only Moomin Museum opened in June in Tampere, Finland. Now the Moomin Museum’s new museum shop is having a small pop-up also at the Kungsträdgården’s event. From the pop-up, you’ll find museum’s own Moomin products and of course, also the Moominvalley mug produced by Arabia and Moomin Museum.
Outside the pop-up you can take a picture in a Moominous scene!
